Skateboard Wheel Sizes
What do they mean by size when purchasing skateboard wheels?
They say get a specific size for your size. Is it for how tall you are or for how much you weigh? I weight about 155 and am 5'10
size for wheels only matters for your skating. If you plan on just skating street then anything from 50-54mm is a good size, if you skate vert you want bigger wheels for more speed so 55-60mm are a good size. If you get really small wheels like 50-53mm and have low trucks you'll need riser pads so you don't get wheel bite, which is when the wheels hit the bottom of the deck and making you fall cause you stop suddenly. Any brand of wheel is alright, they're all made of urethane, I use blanks just because I don't need a fancy graphic on my wheel or pay for a name brand to sponcer a pro skater, and they're jsut as good or the same as name brands which I use to use back in the day till I relized I was wasting money.
