Skateboard Deck Protection Tape
Skateboard grip tape customization?
I am going to cut a design into the grip tape for my skateboard (the grip tape isn't on the deck yet). How can I make sure that when I apply the tape; the cut out design will be in the right place on the deck?
I was wondering whether or not this would effect the stickiness of it? (eg. grip tape peeling off when i slide my foot over it)
Should I cover the area of the board that is going to be exposed with protection (ie. contact paper) before applying the griptape, or should I leave it uncovered?
It should be fine, you'll just have to line it up well. The underside is extremely sticky so there won't be a problem with it peeling and you can leave the area uncovered but it might be cool to spray paint the area a colour or design a pattern.
