Overall are canadian maple skateboards good?

Ive been skating around a year, ive been doing stairs, gaps, drops, but little rails and ledges and ive been skating brand decks such as zoo york and organikas but been running low on cash. And ive been seeing offers for skateboards for 25 bucks saying their made of 7-ply canadian maple wood and im not really "deck smart" with wood material and stuff. Would any of you recommend them? Im not a heavy kid but can land hard on my board if i mess up or land them, and I skate alot so im scared if theyll snap easily or not. Please help :'-[
im sorry for the dumb question i was unaware of what type of wood most decks are made of lol so what deck would you all prefer
