alien workshop skateboard?

are alien workshop skateboards good for a beginner?
my friend likes his and he has a alien workshop deck ( steve berra devils rain) with yellow jacket wheels 53 mm, frontage trucks, sl abec 3 bearings, shorties hardware and randel griptape
is this a good set up because i like his board but i mainly ask are alien workshops good for begginners
all i can do is ollie and pop shove its at the moment

this dude thinks hes so great cause hes been skating for 18 years. First of all, any board is good for a beginner as long as its not wider than an 8 (unless u got massive feet). Second of all abec 3 bearings are just fine for you. Your hardware doesnt matter AT ALL, so dont worry about that. And if your just beginning, than i would suggest sticking with blank white shop wheels. I doubt your going to be worrying about flat spots yet if you can only do 2 tricks. Just go for watever board you want, the only way to tell wich companie's shape you like better is to skate their boards, so never listen when someone tells you that a certain pro brand is better than another pro brand. like this idiot telling you to get an anti-hero. sure, all I skate is anti-hero and Creature boards, but thats because i skate bowl and those boards have a more stable concave and are generally wider, wich make them more stable when carving. Its all about personal reference.
